The Canadian Goose

Wildlife Log

FEATURED BIRD: CANADA GOOSE

BIRDING TIPS:  CANADA GOOSE

COMMENTS: “Guardians of Avian Wildlife” … Thought this would be a good way to approach the subject of protecting our birds.  A large number of our migrating birds (including the Canada Goose) receive special protection provided by the federal “ Migratory Bird Treaty Act”.    The act basically protects the birds from “causing harm to birds, move or destroy eggs/nests etc.” (www.fws.gov).  So, I would like to invite birding enthusiasts to become familiar with the “Act” and become guardians of avian wildlife.
