Thinking about Eloping and not sure where to start? I’ve got you! I have a lot of resources, to help make this process as easy and fun as possible. From guides to Eloping in Grand Teton National Park to Ways to Incorporate Tradition in Your Elopement I think that I can help!
One of the main hesitations to eloping is wondering how to incorporate loved ones. There are many different ways to do this, from including them in the ceremony, to holding a banquet for them. But I’m getting ahead of myself, here are a couple of ways to incorporate your loved ones while eloping.
The ceremony, guests or no guests?
The first way to decide on how to incorporate loved ones is to decide if you want the ceremony to be the two of you, or to include close guests. This decision is completely yours to make. Some couples have done intimate guests but did a destination elopement where they had other activities outside of their ceremony for the guests to do with the happy couple. Reading Letters from Loved Ones
This is my favorite way to incorporate loved ones, especially if you have decided to elope without guests. This gives an opportunity for loved ones to congratulate you both right after the ceremony (or before, the choice is yours!). This also gives a chance for you to hear your loved ones’ words after you’ve made such a wonderful decision!
Banquet or Informal Reception
One way to incorporate loved ones while having no guests for the ceremony is to hold a private banquet or informal reception afterward. This can be the evening after, or even weeks after you two eloped. This gives you and your loved ones a chance to celebrate this new marriage but in less of a formal and traditional way.
Something Old, New, Borrowed, and Blue
For some couples, this is a traditional way that they choose to have their loved ones with them on their special day, without being present. For more on this tradition, feel free to read about it on Ways to incorporate tradition with Eloping.
